Frequently Asked Questions

How does mobile dog grooming work?

Our groomer comes directly to your home in a fully equipped grooming van. Your dog is groomed one-on-one — no other animals present, no crating between steps, no drop-off or pick-up required. The entire session happens outside your door.

How long does a mobile grooming appointment take?

Most appointments take 60 to 90 minutes depending on your dog’s breed, coat condition, and the services requested. Larger dogs or full grooms may take up to 2 hours.

Is mobile grooming more expensive than a salon?

Mobile grooming is typically priced at a modest premium over salon rates — usually $10–$30 more depending on breed. Most pet owners find the convenience and reduced stress for their dog more than worth the difference.

What areas do you serve on Long Island?

We serve Nassau County (Zoomin Groomin Long Island) and Suffolk County (Long Island Mobile Pet Grooming). Coverage includes communities from Valley Stream to Riverhead and all points in between.

How often should I have my dog groomed?

It depends on breed and coat type. Short-coated breeds: every 8–12 weeks. Long-coated or curly-coated breeds (Poodles, Doodles): every 4–6 weeks. Double-coated breeds (Huskies, Goldens): every 6–8 weeks, with extra de-shedding sessions in spring and fall.
