Not all mobile groomers are the same. Here’s what to look for — and ask about — before you book.
Experience and Training
Professional grooming requires genuine skill — knowing how to handle different coat types, how to work with anxious or older dogs, and how to execute breed-specific cuts properly. Ask about training, experience, and what the groomer does differently for difficult dogs.
The Van Setup
A good mobile grooming van is self-contained — its own water, its own generator or power supply, professional equipment. Ask if the van is independent or if it needs to connect to your home’s water or power. Independence matters.
Reviews and Consistency
Look at reviews specifically for how the groomer handles anxious, older, or difficult dogs — these reveal the real quality. Also check whether the groomer maintains a consistent schedule — seeing the same person each time matters significantly for dogs with anxiety.
